At the time of Amritavarsham50, Smt. K.R. Gouri was serving as Kerala's Honourable Minister of Agriculture.

She is the senior-most member in Kerala's Legislative Assembly and has been elected MLA as many as 13 times. She had been the member of the Cabinets headed by E.M.S and E.K. Nayanar twice each and at the time of Amritavarsham50 had for the first time become a minister in the UDF ministry.
