H.H. Sadhvi Samani Jyotipragya is a disciple of H.H. Acharya Shri Mahapragyaji, the current head of the Anuvrat Movement, a sect of Jainism. The Anuvrat Movement was founded in 1949 by Acharya Shri Tulsi in Rajasthan, India, evolving out of his crusades against caste, untouchability, subjection of women and religious intolerance. The movement focus is on liberating the individual from bigoted sectarian outlooks, fanaticism and unethical approaches to life.
