Ms. Dena Merriam

Ms. Dena Merriam is a global communications specialist who develops programs for religious, cultural, environmental and nonprofit organisations. She speaks and writes on the new role of business in peace building around the world. She is much admired for her dedicated work in bringing about the Global Peace Initiative of Women Religious & Spiritual Leaders at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, 2002.

Ms. Merriam’s global networking role developed from her professional work with the United Nations for whom she helped organize the The Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious Leaders. This Summit brought more than 1,200 religious leaders to the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations in New York and subsequently led to the establishment of the Council of Religious Leaders with which Ms Merriam is still actively involved.

She is on the Advisory Board of the Harvard University Center for the Study of World Religions, The International Center for Religion and Diplomacy, and the Manitou Foundation.
